NEW MEXICO STULED PHOTO SHOOT The concept behind this Eco-Industrial styled photo shoot was to bring awareness to the beauty that still remains in old or discarded items that are all around us. The location chosen for the photo shoot allowed us to create a beautiful window scene demonstrating the beauty and romance in repurposing something old, and even something broken.
Handcrafted chandeliers made from damaged bicycles. Handcrafted frame welded from scrap angle iron used for the backdrop. Handcrafted cross welded from scrap metal pieces. Handcrafted tree stump stands cut from a section of a dead tree and stripped of bark. Handcrafted dress made out of 100% unbleached cotton, recycled from a previous toile fitting. Handcrafted lace appliqué from various vintage laces purchased at flea markets, vintage fairs, and yard sales. Handcrafted head piece made of remnant tulle, netting and more vintage lace + orange gladiolus florets created into a “glamelia”or composite flower. Handcrafted gloves made from latex remnants and lace. Handcrafted rabbit foot fern hanging string garden created from household plants by washing roots and wrapping them in light green moss and recycled orange yarn. Handcrafted cinnamon chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and caramel drizzle topped off with candied oranges all made from scratch. Cake stand metal wall art. Ground cactus metal wall art and ground gazelle metal wall art restored from a broken state.

ORANGE SEPTEMBER AN EVENT COMPANY Worked closely with a very talented local designer to create original art for the wedding logo and invitation suite. Inspired by a dark romance, William Shakespeare quotes were used to express the couple's love for each other, their family and friends.
For their wedding logo we illustrated the bride and groom “Dia de los Muertos” style to represent “UNTIL DEATH DO US PART” using the likeness of the bride.
For the front of the invitation we illustrated a Sugar Skull entirely out of Milagros, “Miracles”. Each of the Milagros represents many of the things the couple holds dear. For Jherica, you see her love of cooking and girly things. For Chris, you see his love of music, his bicycle and his mustache. The roadrunner Milagros represent their home state of New Mexico, and the hearts and silhouette Milagros represents their love for their family – loves they already share.
All pieces were printed by, Aspen Printing Company, in black and white; we added splashes of color and texture by hand. For the groom we added a little glitter to his eye, representing the sparkle in his eyes every time he sees his bride. For the front closure of the invitation we added a mix of cabochon flowers as the eyes, along with different colors of thread to tie them closed. We wrapped lace around the pieces to hold everything together once placed in the mailer.
For this particular Invitation Suite all the postage stamps were custom printed utilizing graphic elements included in the overall suite design.
NEW MEXICO STYLED PHOTO SHOOT Spanish Wedding Inspired. With inspiration garnered from the customary bridal traditions of Spain, this modern Spanish-styled wedding showcases a pristine private homestead and brand new wedding venue just south of Santa Fe. Rancho de Chavez is hedged by the Ortiz Mountains to the east and Cabezon Peak to the west. Boasting plenty of rustic charm and showcasing the majestic beauty of the southwest, it was the ideal setting for this photoshoot. The Ceremony: In line with many social events in Spain, most Spanish weddings start late: often a ceremony doesn’t begin until 7:00 P.M. Weddings linger on into the later hours of the night or even further into the first inklings of twilight. The ceremony of this photoshoot was scheduled to take place right before sunset—at 7:44 P.M.—in front of a beautiful fishing pond from which can be seen the Jemez Mountains, the Sandia Mountains, and Cabezon Peak. However, due to rainfall, the location of the ceremony was moved to an intricately designed interior patio facing the Ortiz Mountains. A freestanding frame was used as a creative prop to emphasize the “wild blue yonder” atmosphere. Color Palette: The primary colors of this shoot, in keeping with its inspiration, were black and red. Accents of gold, white, and ivory added to the air of elegance and helped modernize the traditional palette. Bridal Look: The bride posing for this photoshoot wore a gorgeous black silk dress with an accompanying lace veil. In Spain, this bridal attire is common, representing the “Til Death Do Us Part” promise. At the Altar: Traditionally, Spanish weddings do not include bridesmaids or groomsmen. The groom’s mother accompanies him down the aisle, and the bride and groom stand together at the altar with no one else beside them. At the Dinner Table: The head table at Spanish weddings is usually set to accommodate 6 people. In this styled shoot, the table was instead set for 8 to include the bride and groom’s best friends. The chairs at the table were decorated with white lace covers—a detail that lent the perfect touch of daintiness to the scene. Small handwritten signs, displaying Spanish phrases expressing love, were placed at each table setting. These were reminders of the purpose of all weddings: to regard, profess, and celebrate love.

NEW MEXICO STYLED PHOTO SHOOT Georgia’s Awakening is the story of a woman who’s life was faced with many struggles and difficulties. Georgia suffered from suppression, not only from abuse as a child but also from the time period in which she lived.
The house around her was decaying, the floors creaked and the walls were the shade of ash, Georgia saw only brightly colored flowers. It was through the frame of her imagination that she was surrounded by beautiful things and conjured up the spirit of creativity to escape the life that confined her.
Georgia’s story is like so many of our own, however it was her gift of taking the darkness around her and somehow transforming it to appear romantic and charming that has touched our hearts.
It is through this styled shoot that we hope not only to capture the graceful personality but free her vivacious spirit as well.
